Shorter Rochford Cycles has been established for over 35 years as a bike shop in North London. We have an excellent reputation for leisure and racing bikes, customer service, spares and repair of all types of bicycle, from kids pavement cycles to racing bikes of the highest quality.

We now have two shops. Shorter Rochford Finchley, which leans towards the leisure user and complete bikes (which can of course be altered to suit your requirements) and Shorter Rochford Potters Bar, which is dedicated to racing bikes and the custom-built machine.

Open to people who pay tax on a PAYE basis (so, sadly, not the self-employed), this scheme represents one of the best Government tax breaks so far!

Your employer has to be happy to run the scheme, but in essence it means that you can buy a bike without VAT and with the tax that you would otherwise have paid on the salary that pays the instalments deducted.

The instalments come straight off your salary cheque, so all of the admin. is taken up by your employer and HMRC. Simple!

This is a good example of the type of bike that we regularly build for our customers.

We can offer builds based on Campagnolo or Shimano equipment, with accessories from virtually every major manufacturer.

We have frames in full carbon, with carbon rear triangles, in alloy only, and in steel in the Shorter range.

Our frame designs reflect the many years of experience (we have just celebrated 50 Years of the "Shorter" bike!) that we have building frames for some of the leading road, time-trial and triathlon competitors in the UK.

When we build a bike based on one of our frames (or indeed on anyone else's ...), you can be assured of a meticulous attention to detail from the moment that the frame is taken out of it's box, all the way through the build process.

Finishing Kits

We also have finishing kits, including Shorter carbon seatposts, handlebar tape, bottle cages and bottles - all excellent value and the perfect compliment for your Shorter custom-built bicycles.

Clothing

Our shop clothing is made for us by Giordana, and is of extremely high quality - the same as the Giordana range of clothing that we sell in their colours and styles in the shop. What better way to complement your Shorter bicycle than by dressing the part as well?
