Ride longer, more comfortably: This is the mantra of the Secteur rider. Whether training for a century or joining a weekly group ride, Secteur riders want a comfortable road bike that will inspire them to ride longer and build their fitness. Though they appreciate a bike that’s light and fast, comfort and stability is a bigger priority.
WHAT:
An ultra-efficient approach to aluminium frame design that produces the optimal combination of ride properties for the experience at hand.
WHY:
Increases strength and improves stiffness for the best all-around performance and handling.
HOW:
Through methodical tube shaping and enhanced weld techniques, our engineers manipulate every aspect of the frame for experience-specific performance.
WHAT:
Durable, lightweight alloy wheelset with DT Swiss rims.
WHY:
Maintains high value of the bike while improving rolling efficiency and comfort. Also, easy to maintain and service.
HOW:
DT Swiss rims are uber-tough and durable, and the J-bend round spokes are strong but simple to change. Forged alloy hubs keep the weight down, with sealed bearings to roll smooth and fast, while requiring minimal maintenance.
WHAT:
FACT carbon Secteur fork with Zertz inserts.
WHY:
Decreases weight and absorbs road vibration, while increasing strength and stiffness of fork to create a quicker handling bike.
HOW:
Carbon has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than alloy, so the fork’s carbon blades are stiffer and lighter weight, which creates a more responsive, predictable front end. Zertz inserts are integrated into the mid-section of each leg to dissipate vibrations from the road, helping to reduce rider fatigue.
WHAT:
S-shaped alloy seatstays with In-Zertz damping inserts.
WHY:
To increase comfort and compliance, damp road vibrations, and shave weight, while increasing rear-end torsional stiffness.
HOW:
Seatstays designed with aggressive “S” curve allow more vertical flex without sacrificing lateral stiffness—vital for ride compliance and efficiency. In-Zertz inserts are attached to the mid-section of each stay to dissipate vibrations from the road, helping to reduce rider fatigue.
