Climbing or descending. Downhill or XC. Whistler or Moab. No matter the location or terrain, Enduro riders just like to rip it up. They’re happy climbing winding singletrack as long as it leads them to where they can fly—often literally—down a deep forest, North Shore-style trail. Five-foot drops, huge baby heads, and mossy log bridges, all satisfy their never-ending craving for All-Mountain terrain.
WHAT:
“X-Wing”-designed frames with in-line suspension, tapered head tubes, and laidback, plush geometries.
WHY:
Creates the ultimate All-Mountain machine, capable of handling serious downhill abuse, without forfeiting efficient climbing or precise steering.
HOW:
By combining our relaxed, plush geometries with added torsional stiffness in select areas, we get a bike that can absorb huge hits and still climb swiftly. The “X-Wing” design with tapered head tube connects the top tube and down tube for an ultra-stiff design and durability at a lighter weight. The custom-tuned shock coupled with our FSR technology provides 160mm of active, plush travel that still remains firm under pedalling forces.
WHAT:
Remote-adjust, three-position mechanical 100-125mm-drop seatpost.
WHY:
Allows rider to lower and raise saddle, on the fly, for more efficiency and control over varying terrain.
HOW:
With the bar-mounted lever, riders only have to push a button, and the seatpost automatically compresses to one of three available heights: Climbing position (full height) for maximum power output on climbs and flats; Cruiser position (35mm below) for undulating terrain; and Descend position (125mm below) for maximum clearance and manoeuvrability on technical descents.
WHAT:
Integrated frame/rear hub design that goes beyond standard 135 or 142mm rear ends.
WHY:
Creates a stiffer wheel and more stable system. Also makes it easier to take the wheel in and out.
HOW:
Since we design and engineer our bikes and components to work together, we were able to move the entyre cassette mechanism on our Roval wheel 2mm out from the standard size hub, then adjust the frame width accordingly. This new, integrated design widens spoke stance for more stiffness and stability. The X-12 threaded axle, unlike a standard QR, allows the wheel to be taken in and out of the frame easily the with wheel guides in the burly Enduro dropouts.
