That through a "Salary Sacrifice Scheme" you can buy a bicycle at up to 50% discount?

Open to people who pay tax on a PAYE basis (so, sadly, not the self-employed), this scheme represents one of the best Government tax breaks so far!

Your employer has to be happy to run the scheme, but in essence it means that you can buy a bike without VAT and with the tax that you would otherwise have paid on the salary that pays the instalments deducted.

The instalments come straight off your salary cheque, so all of the admin. is taken up by your employer and HMRC. Simple!
